Mayabeque, Cuba_ The Detachment Ninth Congress of the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution (CDR) takes on various tasks in San José de las Lajas, as part of the program of activities in salute to the great event of the largest mass organization in Cuba. 

The group is made up of 45 members, proposed at the base as Young Ninth Congress for their qualities in society and the fulfillment of actions.

The group includes workers from different sectors, high school students, pre-university students and computer specialists, who offer their voluntary contribution every day, according to the Radio Camoa website.

During the last days they had carried out exchanges with the coordinators of the different levels at the headquarters of the CDRs in the capital of Mayabeque.

Among the actions this detachment has performed are the screening of a video about what happened in the places through which Hurricane Irma passed and the collaboration to the victims.

The young people also participated in the reconstruction of the Aleida Fernández Chardiet hospital in the municipality of Güines, for its adaptation as a surgical clinical institution of the demarcation.

Another task is the collaboration to raise the CDR's finances in the neighborhoods, support that the directions in each zone receives to fulfill that purpose.

The members of the Ninth Congress contingent work to strengthen the organization, Carlos Rafael Miranda Martínez, National Coordinator of the CDRs, said.
