Mayabeque, Cuba__ The Fourth Provincial Workshop Por los caminos de la Ciencia takes place in the Mixed Center Enrique Hart Dávalos of San José de las Lajas, with the participation of Víctor Mestre and Camilo Cienfuegos primary schools, Radio Camoa publishes.

The annual event is dedicated to the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution Fidel Castro Ruz, especially his environmentalist thougth and his vision of the importance of science in the prosperous and sustainable development of a country.

The event includes in this edition the modality of experiment and aims to encourage interest in the subjects Natural Sciences and The world in which we live and to instruct students on the protection of the environment.

The assembly for the observation of the plant cell is the proposal of the pioneers of the Victor Mestre school and a poster about scientific advances in relation to the environment is the work of the students of the Camilo Cienfuegos center.

In the meeting participates also personalities of the sector such as Alfonso Sok Carballo, National Assesor of these subjects, Master Soberat Pérez, consultant teacher of the Ministry of Education, among other national and foreign guests.

According to Osvaldo Flores Pacheco, Provincial Assesor of Natural Sciences and the World in which We Live this initiative arises in Mayabeque from the assembly of new modules of science laboratories in the educational centers, as a strategy to exploit to the maximum the potentialities Of these premises.
