Mayabeque, Cuba_ Mayabeque's sub18 baseball team divided honors with their partners from Villa Clara in matches of the qualifying phase in the Western Group B and increased their chances of winning the ticket that would allow them to advance to the final of the National Championship of that category.

Last weekend at the main stadium of Güines, the team leaded by Miguel Justiniani won in the first match and gave in the complementary.

According to the statistician Marcelino González, Villa Clara scored one, with nine hits and three errors; Mayabeque six runs, ten hits with immaculate defense. Luís Vázquez won and Maikel Pérez lost.

In the second game, the orange players took revenge and beat our teams in a close confrontation that decided by a run:

Villa Clara 3 - 7 - 0 Randy Cueto won

Mayabeque 2 -7 -2 Yulian Quintana lost.

Homerun: Leonardo Montero (V.C)

Our team reached 19 wins and 15 defeats when they only has two challenges to be held next Saturday in Villa Clara.

With only one victory in those commitments Mayabeque will win for the first time the ticket to the national final of that youth category.

If they obtain that longed for passage it will be the second team of this young province that in less than two weeks, manages to be among the best in its category in our country, a feat recently achieved by the 11-12 year olds in the Pioneers Cup.
