Mayabeque, Cuba_ With a new award to enrich her vitrines, the stellar Lianna de la Caridad Montero, who has just obtained the subtitle in the Pan American Elite Wrestling Championship for ladies held in Lima, capital of Peru, will return to her native Güines.  

Besides the individual silver medal, the athlete from Mayabeque assured Cuba the ticket in the division of 57 kilograms for the Pan American Games, which will take place in the same Andean nation in 2019.

Before leaving for the continental fair, in an interview given to this reporter, Lianna said she felt fit and ready to fight for a medal of ​​any color and provide her country with the ticket for the quadrennial appointment of the coming year.

In her first incursion into a continental contest for grown-ups, Lianna met both objectives. She won her first two combats for technical superiority and in the discussion of the gold she was leading two by zero over her Aztec rival, when she matched the actions and they finished tied.

According to what is ruled in this sport, the triumph is awarded to whoever has scored the last points, so the Mexican won the crown.

The Cuban women's team conquered two golden medals, one silvered and two bronzes. Yakelín Stornel in 62 kilograms and Yudaris Sánchez (68) reach the first places; and besides the subtitle of Lianna, the bronzes were awarded by Lilianet Duany in 53 and Marvelis Capote (76).

Only Marvelis did not get the ticket but she will have the opportunity in two other events she may attend with Yudelis Guzman who now did not compete for a slight injury.
