Mayabeque, Cuba_ Weight-lifting athletes from several western provinces will meet this Friday in Guines, venue of the western contest of weight-lifting for both sexes, classificatory for the National Championship, first category.
It is expected the participation of athletes from Villa Clara, Havana, Pinar del Rio, Artemisa and Matanzas, besides the hosts.
The event will give the passport to those who fulfill with the minimum marks established by the National Commission. Each delegation will present one or more competitors in each division, male and female.
Mayabeque will participate with a big representation, including youngers with high development perspectives, so the specialists expect to surpass the minimum marks.
At the weight lifting gym in the main stadium of Guines, girls and boys are training hard, improving the technic in function of the force to increase the highest number of kilograms in their lifts.
