Mayabeque, Cuba_ Baseball players from six municipalities are included in the staff of Mayabeque that is going to participate in the National Zonal Championship of Baseball, Sub 12, to take place in Villa Clara during the next school break week, Mayabeque newspaper reports.

The team, made known this Wednesday, in formed by the catchers Saydier Mier, from Madruga and Richard Álvarez, from Jaruco. The infield is leaded by the only two who repeat from last year, Carlos Carralero and Dylan Lorenzo, both from the provincial capital and is completed by Alberto Rodríguez, Güines and Dairon Pérez, from Madruga.

Maikol Varela representing Madruga, Anthony Correa, from Jaruco Carlos Azcuy and Harold Castillo from Guines, Jonathan Jiménez, (San José de las Lajas) will play in the outfield while the pitchers are Marcos Romero, Jordan Lopez, Lazaro Gonzalez, Jose Manuel Veliz and Jonathan Leyva, from Quivican, San Jose, Melena del Sur, Jaruco, respectively.

The director of the team is Fidel Castro Barrera, from San Nicolas, who will be helped by William Rieumont and Pedro Pereda.

The wester zone will give three places to the National final and the candidates are, besides Mayabeque, Villa Clara, la Habana, Pinar del Rio, Isla de la Juventud, Matanzas, Artemisa and Cienfuegos.
