Mayabeque, Cuba_ Ailama Cesé stood out as top scorer with 15 points in the bronze match against Mexico in the fourth Volleyball Women's Under-23 Pan American Cup, based at the Teófilo Bonilla Coliseum in Lima, Peru.

The Cuban team dominated the match against the Mexicans three sets by one, supported by the offensive of Ailama Cesé, followed by Laura Suárez, Jéssica Aguilera and Thalía Moreno.

Melanie Parra and Sofía Maldonado stood out for the Mexicans. The Cubans exceeded in the attack and service, and the Mexican women committed 12 errors per eleven.

In the match for the crown, the Dominican Republic dominated the Peruvians three over zero.

In another result of the day, Colombia was placed in the fifth position after defeating Chile three sets by zero, and Guatemala finished in seventh place after beating Costa Rica three sets over two.
