Mayabeque, Cuba_ Three municipalities of the province are venue until Saturday 16th of the different western zonal competitions of the pioneer’s cup for athletes between 10 to twelve years.

The disciplines programmed are athletics in San Jose de las Lajas, the volleyball and wrestling in San Nicolas while Guines received the boxing and taekwondo. Except boxing, only for boys, the other disciplines applies for both sexes.

According to the official program, the athletic started its actions this Tuesday in Nelson Fernandez Sport Complex and they will last until next Friday 15th.

The volleyball and wrestling will be carried out in the Sport Complex of San Nicolas from today to Thursday the gladiators, will the first one will finished its actions on Saturday.

Mayabeque is represented by 84 athletes (47 boys and 37 girls) who participate in 10 out of the thirteen disciplines summoned in the pioneer’s cup at the zonal level, in which they might have as rivals the athletes from Matanzas, Villa Clara and Cienfuegos.
