Mayabeque, Cuba_ Very little could the Wasps of Santiago de Cuba do to stop the windstorm of the Hurricanes of Mayabeque, and suffered a costly setback, nine races by four, which took them, momentarily, out of the first four positions of the 58th National Series of Baseball, the Sierra Maestra website published.

That bambinazo ignited the fuse for the Hurricanes, that cut the victorious streak of Bisset and from then on they trod the rubber in all the following innings, supported fundamentally in the terrible defense of the santiagueros, that accumulated nothing less than four blunders during the game.

The Hurricanes took advantage with two scores in the bottom of the fifth, towed by Alexander Pozo's double. And although the mountaineers discounted one in the sixth, in that same entry they took off again for a home run by Edain Román.

Bisset left the box after working 6 full innings, he allowed 4 runs, 2 clean, he accepted 9 hits, struck out 3 and gave away the same amount of tickets.

Their relievers were completely unfortunate, and three of them, José Carlos Barbosa, Osmeydi García and Ángel Luis Márquez, allowed a decisive cluster of five runs in the seventh inning, where Pedro León hit his tenth homerun of the championship, to equal the lead with Yosvani Alarcón, from Las Tunas.

The Wasps made a show of reacting in the ninth, but their luck was already done, and they only managed to make up the 9 to 4 final.

Now Santiago de Cuba accumulates 19 smiles and 14 setbacks, and is placed fifth in the standings, three games from the first place. Mayabeque presents balance of 17-15 and stays embraced with Sancti Spíritus in the eighth step.
