Mayabeque, Cuba_ Güines won the title of the Provincial School Boxing Competition, after eleven matches of the different divisions in the Tricontinental roofed hall of the territory.

The boxers from Güines took advantage of their condition of headquarters and won seven gold medals of eleven scheduled for the fight. They had all the support of their audience.

The medalists were: Braulio Martínez, in 26 kilograms, Erislandy del Río, in 32, Yadián Ramírez, in 36, and Lázaro Yamil Vargas, in the 40.

Ernesto Cardoso, in the division of 44 kilos, Reinier Nello, in the 46, and Rubiel Landy Álvarez, in 55, also achieved the victory.

Gold medals were also won by Santa Cruz del Norte’ Yurieski Turcasas, in the 30 and Yudiel Elias in 34, Yuniel Aguilar from Batabanó, in 38, and Raúl Arango from Jaruco won in the 96 kilos.

Güines and Santa Cruz del Norte finished in the first and second place and tied in the third position were Jaruco and Batabanó.

According to information from the Provincial Commissioner Noel González, the condition of the most technical athlete was for boxer Erislandy Del Río.

The best fight was from local Yan Carlos Fonte and Anthony Vázquez, from Batabanó. The most outstanding referee was the lajero Sinencio Martínez and as better coach the güinero Yunier Cabrera Rodríguez.
