Mayabeque, Cuba_ Güine’s athlete Lianna de la Caridad Montero, will participate in the National Gala of Wrestling, in the Special Municipality of Isla de la Juventud, on April 6th, at 7:00 o'clock in the evening.
Several important sportmen/women of the country, such as the world medalists Lianna de la Caridad, Geandry Garzón, Sala Reineris, Yudaris Sánchez, Reineris Andreu and Oscar Pino, besides the Olympic champion Ismael Borrero will honor the event.
The contest will have a total of 17 combats, distributed in the modality of Greco-Roman and free style.
The event salutes the anniversaries of the creation of the Young Communists League (UJC) and the Organization of José Martà Pioneers (OPJM), as well as the victory of Playa Girón. It will also allow the preparation of the athletes who will participate in the Pan American Games of Lima 2019.
The athletes are planning to visit historic sites in the territory and recognize the sport glories, who offer their knowledge and experience.
