Mayabeque, Cuba__ The chess players from Güines recovered the supremacy of the school category of 12 up to 14 years, when dominating in the provincial championships for both sexes, that took place during three days in the Recreo Rancho sport center of Bejucal.

Seven municipalities classified in their respective geographical areas attended the event. The compatriots of Leinier Domínguez won in both branches and they were awarded the first general place with 17 and half points.

Following the winners, Quivicán with 13,5 points and San José de las Lajas with 11 and half units. The representations of San, Bejucal and Nueva  Paz occupied the places from 5th to the sixth.

In the boy’s lid, Carlos Javie Castro Bello from Santa Cruz del Norte and Frank Luis Almeida Gómez from Guines finished tied, with five points of six possible, but the brake system favored the first, who won the crown.

For Sebastian Gil Hernández (Bejucal), a talented boy of only ten years old, was the meritorious third position; Sebastian added four lines and the encounters with his two predecessors finished with ties.

Among the girls the title was for Edualis Álvarez, a girl from Guines, with perfect performance of six points, followed by Lauren Mesa Mayor from Quivican and Dianne Rojas Alarcón, from Nueva Paz.
