Mayabeque, Cuba: The athlete from Mayabeque Ailama Cecé was included in the All Stars team, of the Fifth Women's U-20 Volleyball Pan American Cup, which Cuba won for the first time, defeating the Dominican Republic three times at the Manuel Bonilla Coliseum in Lima, Peru.

Ailama, native from Batabanó, was granted the condition of the Most Valuable Player, besides being the best scorer and the best in attack.

Her teammate Ivy May Vila, stood out in the reception and the service, in this last section with record of direct points for serves.

The Honor Chart was completed by Dominicans Madeleine Guillén, Geraldine González and Mariela Jiménez as well as Puerto Ricans Kiaralyz Pérez and Mariana Trujillo and the Peruvian Camila Pérez.

After this tournament, the teams that classified to the Norceca and South America areas will continue their preparation for the world championship of the category, under 20 years to be held in Mexico.

The United States, the Dominican Republic, Mexico and Cuba will participate in the North, Central America and the Caribbean zone,  while in the South American area are included Brazil, Argentina and Peru.

The rest of the contenders will be Turkey, Poland, Serbia, Japan, China, Egypt, Rwanda, Italy and Russia.

The other Cuban included in that category was Ivy May Vila.
