Mayabeque, Cuba: Lianna de la Caridad Montero won the gold medal in the 57 kg division during the final day of the National Women's Wrestling Championship, at the Rafael Fortún Sports Pqalace in the city of Camagüey.
The guinera, the first Cuban medalist in universal leagues, did not slip in the preliminary segment, and to climb to the top of the podium, she beat Mairelis Diaz and Dailiani Canales by technical superiority.
Four other women celebrated in the land of the tinajones Lilianet Duanes of 53 kg, Yaquelín Estornell of 62 kg), Yudaris Sánchez in 68 kg and Mabelkis Capote of 76 kg), all members of the national team.
