Mayabeque, Cuba: The third edition of the Antonio Ñico Jiménez in Memoriam Baseball Cup will take place between July 8 and 13, the Sports Commission in Mayabeque announced.

The event will be held in the municipalities of Güines and San José de las Lajas, with the participation of six teams: Cienfuegos, Artemisa, Isla de la Juventud, Industriales, Antillana de Acero and the Hurricanes of Mayabeque.

The inauguration is scheduled for the 8th, starting at 9:00 in the morning, at the Héroes del Mayabeque Stadium, in Güines. On that day, an hour later on the same stage, the team of Isla de la Juventud and Mayabeque will play, Artemisa and Industriales will compete in the second round and Antillana and Cienfuegos will play in the Nelson Fernández stadium.

The competition system will be all against all at one round, the title will be discussed by the most victorious teams in the regular stage, in case of a draw they will apply the formula of the TQB, the organizers confirmed.

The closing ceremony is scheduled for July 13, starting at 2:00 p.m., in the main stadium of Güines.
