Mayabeque, Cuba: The Municipal School Games were inaugurated, in Madruga, in two venues: the Boris Luis Santa Coloma Sports Complex, and Rubén Martínez Villena, of the Popular Council of Aguacate.

The summoned sports are football, futsal, volleyball, basketball, three against three and five, baseball, the different modalities of athletics, chess, among others.

The primary, secondary, pre-university and professional technical education participates in the event.

Executives of the National Institute of Sports Physical Education and Recreation (INDER), the province and the locality, as well as sports glories and members of mass organizations of the territory attended the meeting, the sports collaborator in the municipality, Marcelino Galván Méndez, informed.

Throughout these years, the country's demarcations work to promote massive participation in sports. The School Games are implemented with the objective of converting these practices into a prioritized sphere of social development.
