Mayabeque, Cuba_ The province of Mayabeque will compete with both sexes teams, in the National Ascent Tournament to take place from September 3 to 13.

The male selections are the teams like from Mayabeque, Capitalinos, Metropolitanos, Pinar del Río, Matanzas and Artemisa, which will play in an all-around system in two rounds to define the two directly classified for the Superior League of Basketball.

The pre selection of this territory is integrated by five athletes of the previous team, included two reinforcements from Havana, five members of the juvenile team, two coming from the scholar categories and Ángel Luis Marrero who returns to the Mayabeque’s team.

In the venue of Pinar del Rio, will play the hostesses, Mayabeque, Capitalinos, Metropolitanos and Artemisa.

This year the structure of the championship changed due to the reduction of fuel in the state sector. Now they will play two rounds of ten matches each one for a total of twenty games.

During the first round they six teams of the western area, Mayabeque, Artemisa, Pinar del Rio , Capitalinos, Metropolitanos and Matanzas, will be concentrated in Havana for the respective crashes, and later the tournament will move to Pinar del Río to begin the second part of the championship.

As the technician Martin Arzola expressed they are working in the discipline and the cohesion of the team, the technician-tactical work and with the defense to avoid the ball losses, main cause of the defeats in the previous campaign.
