The Idol of Güines has an Elo coefficient of 2 734 points, in spite of his inactivity during August, and stays as the only Latin American player among the best 100 of the world chess.

According to information published by the digital site of Radio Havana Cuba, the Peruvian GM, Julio Ernesto Granda and his Paraguayan pair, Axel Bachmann, are included among the 100 first in August and descended in the ranking to the places 109 and 121, outside of the Top.

Lázaro Bruzón stays in the position 168 of the world, with 2 623 points, and he is the third of Cuba behind the GM Yunieski Quesada who placed 134 of the world list with 2 636 units.
