Mayabeque, Cuba__ Antonio Ñico Jiménez Casadevalle Provincial Sport Initiation School (EIDE) was inaugurated in Güines, in the first day of the academic year 2016-2017.

The school that was the headquarters of other teachings levels during several decades received a general repair in all its facilities and now it will contribute to the formation of the sport main talents of the eleven municipalities.

As Lilian López Rubio, director of the educational sport institution, informed that the school has a total registration of 600 student-athletes in 19 sports, 327of them with a scholarship in nine specialties and the rest in extensions.

Juan Miguel García Díaz, member of the Central Committee of the Cuban Communist Party and hid first secretary in the territory, expressed satisfaction for the conditions of the educational center.

It is "a magnificent installation, one of the best of the territory. This was a yearning since the creation of the province. It will guarantee the future of our first level sportsmen”, García Díaz said.

Accompanying the Party’s leader in the territory, were presiding over the act Roberto León Richard, first vice president of INDER, Tamara Valido, president of the Provincial Government, Julio Cesar García, Head of the Administration Council at the same instance and Rolando Quiñonez, director of the sport organism.

Antonio Jimenez Casadevalle's family and other sport glories of the Cuban sport were also present at the inauguration.
