Mayabeque, Cuba_ Members of the National Association of the Deaf, ANSOC, of Mayabeque, begins today their competitions at the Provincial Center of Lodging, in the municipality of San Nicolás.

Athletes from the provincial capital, Güines, Quivicán, Santa Cruz del Norte, Nueva Paz, Madruga and San Nicolás, are participating in the event.

Among the modalities to compete highlight the checkers, domino and chess.

Regla de la Caridad Herrera, vice-president of the Cuban Association for physically and Motor Limited People (ACLIFIM), in the province, highlighted the importance of carrying out these matches to elevate the level of socialization of the membership.

She also added that this allows to demonstrate abilities, in the different disciplines, at the time they recognize the determination to reinsert them in the society, in favor of a deaf community without barriers.
