Mayabeque, Cuba_ Leonel Álvarez, cycling professor in the national team of the discipline, obtained four bronze medals, through his students Marlies Mejias and Arlenis Sierra, in the Pan-American Championship of Cycling, held in Aguascalientes, Mexico.

Arlenis, 23 years old, considered the best Cuban road cyclist at present, will compete on Saturday in the career for points; specialty in which she it won the bronze medal during the world last championship, taken place at the beginning of this year in London.

Marlies will also compete on Saturday and on Sunday in her favorite event, the ómnium, six events in two days.

To Professor Alvarez' students, the Pan-American of Cycling is part of their preparation for the next season, because their main event in 2016 was the Olympic Games of Rio de Janeiro.
