Mayabeque, Cuba_ The outstanding baseball player of Mayabeque Denis Laza Spencer figures among the members of the Cuban pre-selection that is to participate in Fourth World Classic of Baseball.

The selection which includes 50 athletes can have changes, according to executives of the National Baseball Commission until January, next year.

The outfielder of San José de las Lajas, is playing of the best seasons of his sport life. With the Hurricanes, during the classificatory stage, he batted for 331 with 16 extra bases, included 8 home runs and 26 run in careers and he made no errors during this stage.

In the application for reinforcements Granma’s couch, Carlos Martí, placed him as third bat in his team, a great responsibility in a selection that has excellent batsmen.

Laza did not disappoint his new director's trust, in this phase he had an offensive averages of 421, with 8 extra bases, included 3 homeruns and 13 run in, he scored in 19 occasions, with 14 struckouts, 16 tickets and 6 dead balls, making only an error at the defense in 22 throws.
