Mayabeque, Cuba__ Güines’ athlete, Kiana Dailys Galván Herrera, won a bronze medal in the National Taekwondo Championship, first category, held in Holguin.
In the contest participated 15 provinces, with a representation of five and six athletes, except Mayabeque, who only attended with two, Alema Tamayo León, in the 52 kilograms, and Kiana Dailys Galván Herrera, in the 57 Kg.
In that last division the title corresponded to Yamicel Núñez Valera, followed by Gliennys Marrubenis Castillo, both from the National team, and the bronzes for Kiana Dailys Galván Herrera and Dayana Regla Sáez Bonilla, of the elite group.
This is the first prize won by the güinera, in the national elite category, of this sport discipline.
On his return to the country's youngest province, the two taekwondocas were received by Rolando Quiñones, provincial director of sports and other officials of that instance, who recognized his outstanding performance.
