Mayabeque, Cuba_ Mayabeque’s athlete Yaritza Martínez reached the silver medal in the hammer with a shot of 69,75 meters in the Youth Athletics Championships, held in Nairobi, Kenya.

For his part, Yusniel Jorrín Castañeda from Güines, took the fourth place in the triple jump, with 15 meters and 88 centimeters.

Other prozes were conquered by Maikel Vidal in length with seven coma 85, Jordán Díaz, in triple with 17 coma 30, Silinda Morales, in disc with 52 coma 89, Amanda Almendariz in hammer with 71 comma 12 with the title, and Zulia Hernández in triple jump with 13 coma 29, for bronze.

The javelinist Marisleisys Duarte fulfilled the forecasts in the closing of the World-wide Athletics Championship between cadets to round up the historical work of Cuba, for the first time in the third position of the medal board with five titles, two silver and a bronze.
