Mayabeque, Cuba_ The Physical Culture Directorate of the Higher Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation (INDER in Spanish), announced a new change in the date for the traditional Terry Fox Run.

The activity is scheduled for Saturday April 2th, in all municipalities of the Island.

The Terry Fox Run is an annual, non-competitive event where the participants contribute to draw the attention of all in the fight against the scourge of cancer.

The young Canadian who suffered from the disease and has a leg amputee, traveled thousands of kilometers in his country, giving the world a huge example of will.

Participants run through a circuit, in a wheelchair or on crutches, bicycles, scooters or any other available means to complete the route chosen in each territory.
