To be in the last place in any competition is always complicated, even more if we speak of a sport like baseball which in spite of the qualitative descent during the last times, continues being the Cuban’s passion.

The baseball team of Mayabeque in the National Serie, during its first five years, was always among those more stragglers and this year it repeats the same situation, at least in the beginnings of the championship, when they exhibit a balance of 5 successes and 13 defeats (without taking into consideration Thursday’s results) and are place in the cold basement.

It is difficult to leave this place, if at present the offensive average of the team is only of 216, the lowest in the season and the pitchers allow 5.80 fair annotations in each nine entrances, the highest in the tournament.

To those numbers you can add that before this sub serie the team scored 50 careers and to its pitchers permitted 106 runs and the defensive area, with historical good results, deteriorated, with 17 errors in 640 throwing, for an average of 973.

That doesn't mean that the players will stop to fight, but every time it turns more complicated to obtain victories and it is understandable to a certain extent, when we check the Hurricanes’ staff, there are only four experience players and none of them bats 300 in the domestic classics.

An inexpert pitching and a quartet of beginner catchers makes difficult to lead the games correctly, after each throwing.

In spite of all these facts, I have never seen a more crumbled team, without desires of playing and with little commitment in the sport field but just the opposite, and that is very important, because of the cold basement they could only go out fighting; in this campaign there is an example: Camagüey.
