Havana, Cuba_ The 7th Congress of the Communist Party of Cuba begins at 10:00am in Havana’s Convention Center, this Saturday, April 16, as a homage to the 55th anniversary of the proclamation of the socialist nature of the Cuban Revolution.

One thousand delegates and approximately 280 invitees will participate in the important event which is scheduled to include the presentation of a Central Report, discussion of the document in four commissions, and the election of the Party’s leadership bodies, as well as a closing session on the 19th, the 55th anniversary of the historic victory at Playa Girón.

The inaugural session will be broadcast live by Cubavisión, Cubavisión Internacional, Radio Rebelde and Radio Habana Cuba.
