Havana_ The Senior Officials Meeting of the Association of Caribbean States (ACS), in preparation for the body’s Council of Ministers, was opened today by Deputy Foreign Minister, Abelardo Moreno, Prensa Latina publishes.
After welcoming the participants to this event, held prior to the presidential meeting of the 7th Summit of the ACS on June 4, Moreno called them to work to find ways and take decisions in drawing up the documents the ministers and heads of Government of the ACS should discuss and approve.
Among the texts to be discussed today is the Action Plan draft. Moreno stated that there is a high-level consensus among the members of this body, composed of the countries bordering the Caribbean Sea.
The event brings together representatives of 25 member nations of the body, seven associated states, 21 countries and nine observer organizations, as well as other guests.
The meeting will be running until Saturday, Jun 4, at the Conference Center and the Revolution Palace in Havana.
