Granma: The First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC), Army General Raúl Castro Ruz, and the President of the Councils of State and Ministers, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, head the central act on the 26th of July on the occasion of celebrating the 66th Anniversary of the assault on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes barracks, Cubadebate publishes.

The Second Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party, José Ramón Machado Ventura, and the president of the National Assembly of Popular Power, Esteban Lazo Hernández, as well as members of the Political Bureau, the Secretariat and the Councils of State and Ministers, and the first Party secretary in the province, Federico Hernández Hernández, attend the political-cultural ceremony in the Plaza de la Patria, in the city of Bayamo.

There are also other party and government representatives, the Young Communists League (UJC), the mass organizations, the University Student Federation (FEU), the Association of Combatants of the Cuban Revolution, the Revolutionary Armed Forces (FAR) , along with brigades and solidarity groups and friends of Cuba, and a representation of the people of Gran Canaria.

Generation smaller in size, but big in ideas

"I do not come to speak on my behalf, but in the name of those who celebrate this day with joy," Bayamo’s Pioneer said.

"I come to share all the glory conquered by the Revolution, where we are all privileged, especially us, who become treasures of the Homeland, can give our opinion, promote and create, ratifying our commitment to the historical continuity of the Homeland", she added.

"We are proud to live in a country where the happiness, smile and peace of a child is defended," the student said.
