Havana, Cuba_ The Cuban delegation that will participate in the 19th World Festival of Youth and Students, will depart this afternoon to the Russian city of Sochi, with the commitment to raise the name of Cuba and represent the most genuine values of our youth, Radio Reloj publishes. 

Inspired by Fidel and Che, the members of the group will denounce the US blockade, the permanence of the illegal US naval base in Guantánamo, the terrorist acts perpetrated against our people and the new maneuvers of subversion used by Imperialism to destroy the Revolution.

As the first secretary of the Young Communists League, Susely Morfa, affirmed, the Cuban delegation is the result of a democratic and inclusive process.

The Cuban delegation to Sochi includes from a worker to a farmer, a student, an Olympic champion, a relevant scientist, intellectual, artist or doctor.

Solidarity towards Sochi

Dr. Enmanuel Vigil Fonseca has provided his knowledge and help in the narrower scenarios from which he returned as a better human being: in Sierra Leone he fought Ebola, in Ecuador he attended patients after the strong earthquake and in Haiti he helped the victims of the devastating hurricane Matthew.

When arriving from areas affected by the floods in Peru, the member of the International contingent Henry Reeve knew that he was one of the guests to the XIX World Festival of Youth and Students.
