Havana_ The provincial assemblies will be constituted on Sunday with the swearing in ceremonies of the 1,265 delegates that were elected by Cuban voters last March 11. After taking office, they will choose, by secret ballot, the presidents and vice presidents of these bodies.

Prior to this day, the provincial slate comissions held a broad process of consultation with delegates in all territories to hear their proposals of the candidates that they will vote tomorrow, said Gisela Duarte Vázquez, president of the Commission of National Candidacies.

This day is another step in the process of general elections that Cuba is going through and that will culminate, on April 19, with the election of the president, vice president and secretary of the National Assembly of Popular Power, as well as of the State Council.
