La Paz_ The president of Bolivia, Evo Morales, greeted today the Cuban people and government, especially its president Raúl Castro for the 59th anniversary of the triumph of the Revolutionin that Caribbean nation, Prensa Latina reports.  

"Our admiration for their achievements, for their struggle for social justice and for their resistance against the blockade of the United States that has lasted for more than half a century. Viva Cuba”, he said in a message on his Twitter account @evoespueblo.

January 1, 1959 marks the victory of the struggles of the Rebel Army led by the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, to end the evils of the then neo-colonial Republic, mainly the administration of Fulgencio Batista.

This date represented for the Cubans the beginning of a period of social transformations in the country, which also encouraged the emergence of guerrilla and emancipatory movements in Latin America.
