The second day of the theoretical event of the Third Festival of Radio, Television and Written Press, Mayabeque 2018, dedicated the morning session of Tuesday to the treatment received in the media by the documents approved in the Seventh Congress of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC).

The appointment is based at the Agrarian University of Havana (UNAH) of San José de las Lajas, about 36 kilometers from the Cuban capital.

"From the media we can do more in the treatment of many issues related with the partisan documents," said Barbara Betancourt Abreu, general director of information services of the Cuban Television. She exemplified the need to insist on the strengthening of values within Cuban society and the knowledge of the country's history, two aspects directly linked to the evolution of the Cuban Revolution.

At another time, the importance of avoiding triumphalism and adjusting to what is common in the country was assessed. The works sent to the national media must be distinguished by their veracity and objectivity. "The treatment of the most varied issues must be responsible and pertinent," Betancourt Abreu said.

In the evening segment, journalists, artists and executives were updated about the operative situation for confronting political-ideological subversion in the province.

Today, the juries of Radio, Television and Special Themes started the work sessions. The written press was already doing it.

This Wednesday, the program calls for four workshops: Music on the radio, Work on social networks, Direct Propaganda in the Media and Generation of Contents.
