Havana_ The President of the Councils of State and Ministers, Miguel Díaz-Canel, paid homage today to Venezuelan leader Hugo Chávez (1954-2013) on the sixth anniversary of his physical disappearance, Prensa Latina reports.

'Six years of heartfelt absence of Cuba's best friend', wrote the president in his account of the social network Twitter, which has 104 thousand followers.

The legacy of Chávez is present in those who defend this process in the face of the aggressiveness of theUnited States, which daily scales in its actions to impose a regime change in Caracas, Díaz-Canel said.

'The sons of the Bolivarian Revolution today pay tribute to him, fighting bravely. In them he lives, with his love and his courage”, he said

Tributes to the so-called Commander President are planned in different parts of the Island, with a central act at the headquarters of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP).
