Havana_ The president of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, remembered the anti-imperialist legacy of the historical leader of the Revolution, Fidel Castro, in a scenario of growing hostility from the United States (US) towards the Island.

Fidel said: 'How well do we know the Yankees! If we had yielded only one time in front of the imperialist demands, the Cuban Revolution would not exist. What has stopped the imperialists is the heroism of our people, the price they know they will have to pay”, he wrote in his Twitter account.

Since his arrival in the presidency, in April of last year, Díaz-Canel has insisted that his management is continuity and commitment to the Homeland.

"This is how we will face the threats of the powerful imperialist neighbor. There is no room for a transition that ignores or destroys the legacy of so many years of struggle. In Cuba, by decision of the people, it is only necessary to give continuity to the work, together the generations born and educated in the Revolution and the founding generation (...) ', he said then.

In recent months, the administration of President Donald Trump has escalated in his actions and threats against the largest of the Antilles, with policies to increase the resurgence of the economic, commercial and financial blockade in force for almost six decades.
