Havana_ Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel congratulated the Young Communists League (UJC) on its 57th Anniversary and the José Martí Pioneers Organization (OPJM) on its 58th birthday, Prensa Latina reports.

'To today Cuban children and youth, who are celebrating the anniversary of their organizations this April 4, congratulations and go forwards. Cuba is in you”, he wrote in his account of the social network Twitter.

The children of the Revolution are formed in the OPJM and UJC, the head of state added.

"Nothing makes us as proud as coming from their ranks and having been trained in their values”, he said.

Young communists and pioneers celebrate the date with several activities, from volunteer work to cultural and sports activities.

In Biran, birthplace of the historic leader Fidel Castro, they will announce the call to the XI Congress of the UJC, in 2020.
