Cuba: The President of the Councils of State and Ministers, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, highlighted in the province of Las Tunas that, given the economic situation that the country is going through, particularly with the shortage of fuel, “the best response has been given by the people”, Cubadebate publishes.

During a two-day tour of the east of the Island - which included Las Tunas, Camagüey and Ciego de Ávila on the last day - the president stressed the understanding, support and disposition of Cubans in the search for solutions.

In each of these territories, Díaz-Canel evaluated the work carried out as coherent and comprehensive after the two programs in which the details of the situation generated by the hostility of the United States government, which continues to close the siege on Cuba were explained.

The most systematized measure in recent times, said the Head of State, has been the persecution and pressure on shipping companies and insurance agencies so that they do not negotiate with us.

In the work meetings - which already total eleven - the President has learned about the measures implemented by each province, based on their particularities, to lessen the effects on transport, food production, community hygiene, agriculture, water supply, school year, health, among many other sectors.

The tour, which must continue in the next few days through the center, allowed us to verify the vitality of the nation, which, in the consideration of the Head of State, is not paralyzed, but rather brings out the true reserves it has. What has happened, he said in Ciego de Ávila, shows that these situations are learned and good solutions can be systematized.

From the Twitter account of the Presidency of Cuba it was announced that the people of this province are working to guarantee among the main activities, the agricultural production, the transfer of the family basket, the transportation to cancer patients and hemodialysis, among other measures.
