Havana: The president of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, expressed his condolences today for the death of the girl Paloma Domínguez and deplored the political manipulation of the unfortunate event, Prensa Latina publishes.

“Painful loss of baby Paloma. Condolences to his parents. The Ministry of Public Health investigates and jealously cares for the other affected children. It offends and hurts the political manipulation of adversaries. Nothing more important than a child for the Cuban Revolution”, wrote Díaz-Canel in his Twitter social network account.

According to an official note from the ministry of this sector, between October 7 and 8 of this year, they diagnosed three one-year-old children, with an adverse event associated with vaccination with PRS, which protects against mumps. , Rubella and Measles.

It is applied according to official scheme to children under one and six years of age.

All were vaccinated on October 7 at the "Betancourt Neninger" Polyclinic of the municipality of Habana del Este, province of Havana, and immediately after the symptoms appeared, they were admitted and received medical attention by professionals of high scientific level in the Pediatric hospitals Borrás Marfán and Centro Habana.

Through the active research conducted on all children vaccinated in that Health Area, they detected two more children with symptoms, which motivated their admission.

Painfully on October 9, at night, the girl Paloma Domínguez Caballero, a year old, dies as a result of complications.
