Baku: The Cuban president, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, met with leaders from India, Iran and Equatorial Guinea, during the XVIII Summit of Non-Aligned Countries (Mnoal), Prensa Latina publishes.

Díaz-Canel met yesterday with the Indian Vice President, Vankaiah Naidu, and with the leaders of Iran, Hasan Rohani, and Equatorial Guinea, Teodoro Obiang Nguema, with whom he addressed bilateral issues and the international agenda.

The Cuban head of state indicated in his twitter account that the talks showed interest in strengthening and expanding bilateral relations.

Cuba and India maintain economic ties related, above all, to the pharmaceutical company, since the Island acquires medical products in that Asian nation, which in a moment was the host of study programs for Moal nations.

In the case of Equatorial Guinea, close cooperation is maintained in the medical sphere, since in the only African nation where Spanish is spoken, a Cuban Medical Brigade works. In addition, there are commercial links in the area of ​​fisheries, mining and the environment.

On their side, Cuba and Iran cooperate both at the political level, with common positions in various international arena issues, they also maintain their collaboration in the commercial, banking, agricultural, health and cultural spheres.
