Moscow_ Russia reiterated its willingness to continue cooperating with Venezuela in the energy sphere and the technical-military collaboration, despite the unilateral sanctions applied by the United States (US), Prensa Latina reports.

Such restrictions will in no way influence Russia's position, said Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov, coinciding with the announcement in Washington of further punishments against Moscow.

Last week, the US Secretary of State, Michael Pompeo, blamed the Russian oil company Rosneft and its executives, for trading and buying Venezuelan oil, in violation of the unilateral sanctions imposed by the US.

The Russian television referred today to information coming from Washington, on a draft resolution to impose new restrictions on Russia and other foreign countries that support the legitimate Government of Nicolás Maduro.

The bill presented in Congress provides for the prohibition to hand over visas to foreigners, if they act in the interest of the Russian Government to support the Venezuelan security forces.

The US Congressmen recalled the trip of two Russian supersonic bombers TU-160 to Venezuela, in December last year, and the Russian financial support to the Venezuelan Government with the delivery of credits to the state oil company PDVSA.
