Caracas: The planting of 18,000 hectares of cereals for the winter season began, with the presence of the country's president, Nicolás Maduro, to minimize the food shortage provoked by the imperialist blockade against Venezuela.

The bean and corn crops distinguish in the campaign, with a central opening at the Pedro Pérez Delgado Social Production Unit in the State of Cojedes.

The Venezuelan leader promoted the need to take advantage of the plains of the nation, as a strategy of the Government in the Plan of the Nation 2019-2025.

The Cuban collaborators of the agri-food mission also intervene, advising on good practices of soil clearing, planting and treatment to combat diseases.
