Caracas: More than 80 percent of Venezuelans today support a process of dialogue in Venezuela, President Nicolás Maduro informed, after the closure in Norway of the second round of talks between the government and the opposition, Prensa Latina reports.
In the South American nation, peace, harmony and understanding will win, because "only a minority believes in coups and calls for an invasion" of the United States (US), the president said during a speech from the state of Vargas. .
Maduro reiterated the willingness of the Bolivarian Government to resolve the political differences through peaceful and democratic means, in pursuit of national coexistence, development and the solution of the problems that affect the country.
After several months of 'secret and cautious' talks with the opposition, the parties managed to start a process of dialogue in Norway, the president revealed.
In this regard, the head of state recommended to the opposition leadership "to be courageous and tell his followers the truth, because Venezuela needs to go to secure peace agreements."
The delegation of the Bolivarian Government thanked the Kingdom of Norway for the progress made in the peace dialogue process held in Oslo, and welcomed its commitment to collaborate with a peaceful solution to the Venezuelan political crisis.
The governor of the state of Miranda, Jorge Rodríguez, conveyed an invitation to all the Venezuelan opposition to join the efforts for dialogue and peace in the South American nation.
"We continue advancing in the defense of our Constitution to consolidate peace and democracy, we invite you to join efforts in this direction," the highest authority of the state of Miranda asserted on the communication platform.
