Caracas: The United States Government (US) today insists on discrediting Venezuela through a new campaign to confuse world public opinion about the reality of the South American country, Chancellor Jorge Arreaza denounced.
"Alleged investigators linked to US intelligence and financed by corporations with clear interests in the national territory, prepare files to justify any action against the Republic," the Foreign Minister stressed.
In that sense, the head of the Bolivarian diplomacy questioned a report published by the self-described Center for International and Strategic Studies (CEIE), based in the northern nation, 'where they clearly mount a multipurpose intelligence action' against Venezuela, he said.
Arreaza said the day before that members of that institution participated actively in the siege of the Venezuelan embassy in Washington in April and May. In addition, they are behind the advice for the invasion of the country, Prensa Latina reports.
In this regard, the Minister of Foreign Affairs quoted the journalistic investigation portal Misión Verdad, which conducted a detailed analysis of what was published by the CEIE, where they assure the existence of a communication plot to increase the sanctions of the American president's administration, against Caracas.
Likewise, in the text they accuse the Venezuelan Government of laundering funds from 'bank to bank' and with 'false infrastructure projects'.
The report tries to link the situation of the supply of medicines and other items as variables that affect the full development of the human rights of the people, using a set of data and biased information, he explained.
In that line of message, the CEIE tries to project the Venezuelan government as a 'criminal state', while it whitens and omits the economic blockade of Washington and its allies, a factor of greater weight in the rape suffered by the Venezuelan population, the minister stressed.
Venezuela is the victim of an operation against its economy, political system and national stability, "so it sounds illogical that a state victim of these hybrid war operations can be classified as criminal," he said.
