Caracas: Millions of dollars are lost today by the Bolivarian Government as a result of the financial blockade of the United States (US), according to a report by the Petroleum Legal Consultancy of Venezuela.
The report entitled Sanctions and Blockade, a Crime against Humanity against Venezuela, indicates that the accounts in correspondent banks such as Commerzbank AG, Citibank and Bank of China Frankfurt, where this nation maintained around 150 billion dollars in August 2017, were closed from the coercive measures imposed by Washington, Prensa Latina publishes.
Since the signing of the executive order of US President Donald Trump, on that same date, in which they issued economic sanctions against Venezuela, the country faces an international financial blockade.
Given this situation, the Bolivarian Government has considerable losses due to exchange rate differential in transactional and financial costs.
While that is happening and the South American nation draws up strategies to face the crisis and shovel the situation, which affects the people, the opposition delegation sent by the self-proclaimed president Juan Guaidó announced that he will ask the United Nations General Assembly to increase the pressures against the country .
As published by the opposition deputy, on the social network Twitter, they will ask for international support to implement new punitive measures and participate in the meeting of foreign ministers of the Inter-American Treaty of Reciprocal Assistance (TIAR), to support a military aggression against the nation.
