Carlos Manuel de Céspedes summoned to have a free Homeland on October 10, 1868, beginning the struggle of the Cubans for independence. That rebel spirit is in force 151 years after the historical events of La Demajagua, and it is a flag that we firmly raise in the current challenges.

Cuba today as yesterday defends the legitimate right to be free and sovereign and strives to build a country 'with all and for the good of all "as José Martí aspired. Since Carlos Manuel de Céspedes lit the flame of freedom until today , its light illuminates and guides us on the path of justice.

Cuba celebrates today the beginning of the war of independence but more than that inspiring motive Cuba reaffirms its decision to be faithful to the history and tradition of struggle of its people.

In this 2019, on October 10, it is spurring the new and complex challenges that the nation faces in the face of the interference of the empire. A people in revolution who does not rest and fight for the present and future of their children is the essence of today's Cuba.

A country that does not give in to pressure or threats and will never renounce to its principles. From Céspedes to Fidel a single cause, freedom, a single objective, the dignity of Cubans, a purpose to conquer all social justice.

151 years after Carlos Manuel de Céspedes called for unity to fight for Cuba to be free, his country stands firm and spirited to pay homage to him and to all those who fought for a better country.

We have homeland and we will continue to make the dream by hand and without permission, living on this earth, full of events and an extraordinary history is a privilege to be honored every day.
