A Powerful Youth Wasp’s Nest against the Blockade

Cuba_ In the face of adversity, creativity, capacity for resistance and confidence in the Revolution. That has been the response of our people to the more than five decades of cruel and genocidal economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the Government of the United States, Juventud Rebelde publishes.

This will be demonstrated this Wednesday in the initiative juvenile Wasp’s Nest against the blockade, to be carried out in educational centers across the country, as an expression of denunciation of that unjust policy that remains despite the repeated universal rejection and the restoration of diplomatic relations between both countries.

Just this October 31 - when the debate and voting in the General Assembly of the United Nations (UN) of the draft resolution on the need to end the US blockade will take place - the new generations will demand the immediate and unconditional cessation of what constitutes the main obstacle to the development of Cuba, explained Diosvany Acosta Abrantes, member of the National Bureau of the Young Communist League.

We will also demand the cessation from the art, culture, sports, recreation and social networks, said the youth leader, who added that the headquarters of this potent wasps’ nest will be the Technological University of Havana José Antonio Echeverría.

About what will happen in that center, he mentioned a meeting with directors of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a Nationalities Fair, the initiative Hugs against the blockade, the placement of a giant screen to transmit audiovisual related to the commercial siege and following what happens in the headquarters of the General Assembly of the UN, the collective construction of a mural, the sale of books, as well as the initiative My selfie against the blockade, and fill the social networks with many other contents.

This Wednesday will also be carried out a big tweet with the use of the #NoMasBloqueo, #HacemosCuba and #UnblockCuba tags. The appointment on social networks will take place from ten in the morning to 12 in the day, and the messages will be emitted from the accounts: @UJCuba, @FeuCuba and @CubavsBloqueo, @alma_cujae and @CujaeRedsocial.
