China - he emphasized - will continue with determination its support to the socialist cause of Cuba and cooperation in different fields.
He advocated for closer communication, strategic collaboration and coordination in the international arena, safeguarding legitimate interests and contributing to the promotion of peace and progress in the face of the complex challenges of today's world.
The dialogues in Beijing of Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel with Chinese President Xi Jinping last November were fruitful and further fostered the development of ties, Wang said.
He sid that the Asian nation is ready to implement the consensus reached by the two leaders, strengthen exchanges at all levels and take advantage of the opportunities offered by the initiative of the Strip and the Road in order to deepen cooperation in sectors such as trade, clean energy, agriculture, tourism, bio pharmacy and telecommunications.
At another point, he denounced unilateralism, protectionism and harassment as practices that violated the basic norms of international relations, calling for joint work in order to confront those policies and maintain the validity of the principles and purposes of the United Nations Charter.
During the talks, the parties exchanged views on cooperation between China, Latin America and the Caribbean, as well as the situation in Venezuela.
