More than 95 percent of the amount of the affectations is concentrated in ETECSA and its President Mayra Arevich, explained how difficult it is to receive technologies, every day more expensive, with variable of the percentage of American components.
She adds that with the talent of specialists they combine several platforms from different suppliers to achieve the same goal, but that makes each day more expensive, difficult to obtain, to which problems with soft financing are added, as to any other country , an important barrier to the acquisition and development of technologies.
"The Helms Burton Law not only affects all sectors, it is an interference with national sovereignty and that of other countries," the president said.
The blockade imposes technological limitations on sites that guarantee training and the ability of specialists to respond to the Cuban communications system, which affects state-owned and non-state-owned companies, as pointed out by the young Carlos Miguel Pérez, a self-employed worker.
Minister Jorge Luis Perdomo said “to those who say that the problems are ours, why not remove the blockade instead of hardening it and use it as a subversion technique against Cuba? They know that if they eliminate it we will develop faster, with the effort of all sectors of the country. ”
