United Nations: China denounced yesterday at the United Nations Organization that the US blockade undermines the rights of the Cuban people to life and development, by reaffirming their vote for the end of that policy, Prensa Latina reports.

The representative of Beijing, Zhang Jun, said that the economic, commercial and financial fence prevents the Island from achieving other goals of sustainable progress, and is contrary to the purposes and principles of the Charter of the United Nations Organization.

He also considered it a violation of the relevant resolutions of the UN General Assembly, cited the great losses it causes to Cuba and the disturbances in its normal ties with other countries.

The North American fence appears as the most unjust, severe and prolonged unilateral sanctions system that is applied against any country and at the same time is described as the main obstacle to the development of the island and its economic relations with the rest of the world.
