Havana, Cuba: Locating and acquiring by any means a medicine or technology to respond to a medical emergency, is today the main objective of MediCuba in spite of the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States, Radio Reloj publishes.

Making medical supplies, equipment and products available to hospital institutions, clinical laboratories and research centers is essential to guarantee quality, developed, efficient public health, highly extended to the entire Cuban population, Dr. Lázaro Silva, vice president of that entity, said.

He stressed that at a time when Trump’s administration intensifies its hostile policy against the Island, MediCuba explores all possible ways to circumvent that fence.

He added that the blockade has failed to stop Cuba's advances in medical services, the care of the most frequent and complex diseases and pathologies.
